10 habits of women who are always in shape
Women often believe that they don’t have enough time to get fit. But the reality is that these habits take little time to implement. Most of them can be done from anywhere (office, school and more).
Women who are always in shape prioritize these 10 habits. They know how important they are for their bodies and how different they feel when they don’t follow them. These habits are easy to start but can be difficult to maintain. That is why you have to make them enjoyable. That will help you stick to them until the moment you want.
No. 1 They rest a lot to keep fit.
Moving your body throughout the day is important for the health of your body and mind. But what’s more important is giving your body time to recover and rest.
Some people believe that resting is not productive. But in reality, that rest time is giving your body so many benefits. And that it will be worth it in the long run.
Resting doesn’t necessarily mean staying in bed. It can include going for a walk, sitting down to watch your favorite show, or simply meditating. Especially after days of vigorous exercise, it is essential to give your body time to recover and relax to prevent damage to your bones and muscles.
No. 2 They enjoy their workouts.
The number one rule for maintaining a habit is to enjoy it, so if you don’t like to exercise, you just won’t be consistent with it. You have to experiment and find out what types of exercises you like the most.
If you’ve been trying to exercise for years and you don’t seem to be consistent, you may need to try new things. There are different ways to maintain your body moving during the day and it doesn’t necessarily have to do with doing cardio or lifting weights.
Some of the other most common ways to stay in shape while enjoying what you do is to attend a dance, yoga, pilates or barre class. Without realizing it you will be exercising your body at the same time that you have fun.
No. 3 They sleep well and enough.
A good night’s sleep can be the difference between a good day or a bad day. Make sure you get enough sleep but also the right way. It doesn’t matter if you sleep 7 hours if you’re waking up every two.
Having good sleep hygiene helps your body recover, relax and rest at night so you are ready for the next day. Your body needs this time to balance all its functions after a long day full of movement.
Some things you can do to sleep better are eat at least two hours before bedtime, keep your bedroom dark, put electronic devices in another room, stay hydrated during the day, and have a relaxing nighttime routine.
No. 4 They are active during the day.
Staying active throughout the day doesn’t mean working out for hours at the gym, it just means moving your body intentionally and frequently throughout the day. Many people are not aware of how little activity they do and there are many health problems that lead to a sedentary lifestyle.
An easy way to find out how active you’ve been throughout the day is to track your steps—try to get at least 10,000 steps every day. It can be tricky at first, but once you increase your daily steps by even a few you will start to see the benefits.
Some easy ways to stay active during the day are walking after every meal for 15 minutes, stretching for 10 minutes after you wake up, walking while you watch TV, and doing a little dance while dinner cooks.
No. 5 They focus on what to eat and not what to avoid
Diets often cause your body more harm than good. The reason is because when you go on a diet you restrict your body from the foods you normally eat, which means you don’t give your body the necessary nutrients it needs to function well. That’s why one of the 10 habits women who are always in shape use, it is to focus on eating whole foods and avoid diets.
Whole foods contain most of the nutrients you need to live and feel amazing. These foods include vegetables, fruits, legumes, grains, meats, and seeds. They are whole foods when you eat them in their most natural form (the way they come from nature).
If you are not used to eating these foods it may be difficult at first, but with some practice you will enjoy it more. When your meals are full of fast food and sweets, your taste buds change and foods like vegetables taste really bad. But you can change that by adding a serving of whole foods to each meal, and over time you’ll start to notice a difference.

Oh, what a great list!! Number 2 struck a cord for me. I loath “working out”, but when I finally realized that a good purposely walk every day is in fact a work out, I can now say I enjoy it! Also number 5! Just started taking this approach recently and it makes a world of difference!

This is so true. I have lost more weight by changing my relationship with food and exercise. I take my dogs hiking, and eat a dessert on occasion. Restricting my diet was keeping me from reaching my goals. And I was miserable. It is so nice to see a list that isn’t all about restriction. THANK YOU!!
